Melvin Prather

EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts the family of Melvin Prather, age 72, announces his passing on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. He was a lifelong resident of Eunice, Louisiana and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will forever remain in the hearts of his loving family including his wife, Norma LeJeune Prather of Eunice three daughters, Natalie Prather Berry and husband, Frank of Asheville, North Carolina, Cherie Prather OPry and husband, Brandon of Branch, and Celeste Prather Hamous and husband, Bobby of Pelham, Alabama six grandchildren, Hillary Olivier, Amelia Berry, Katherine Hamous, Quinn OPry, Grayson OPry, and one arriving soon, Caroline Hamous three brothers, Shelby and Floyd Prather of Eunice, and Willis Prather of Colfax and sister, Pearl Young of Eunice.

He is preceded in death by one grandchild, Quint OPry his parents, Arthur and Ola Prather five brothers, Napoleon, Clyde, Clarence, Vernon, and George Prather and three sisters, Ruby Book, Isabelle Friend, and Edna LeBouef.
