EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Melvin Duplechin announces her passing on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Eunice Manor Nursing Home at the age of 93. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery in Chataignier with Rev. Vernon Martindale officiating.

Melvin was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mourning her loss is a host of nieces and nephews.

Melvin is now resting in Heaven with her beloved husband, Willie Bob Duplechin parents, Henry and Albertine Ryder Smith two brothers, Robert and Mayo Smith six sisters, Effie Young, Lelia Young, Isy Aguillard, Hazel Aguillard, Lucy Aguillard and Mabel Young.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, January 23rd from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, January 24th from 8:00 am until time of services.
