EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Melba Christ Rider announces her passing on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Eunice Manor with loving family by her side. She was 83. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2013. Burial will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Melba loved to bake and she loved children but most of all she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew her and loved her especially her husband, George H. Rider of Eunice her six children, Dwayne James Manuel of Ritchie, Vincent Conde and wife, Sarah of Kaplan, Connie Conde of Basile, Frank Conde and wife, Julie of Carencro Patrick Conde and wife, Deanna of Salem, New Hampshire, and Eric Conde of Rayne one brother, Cleve Christ of Lake Charles three sisters, Lorraine Pousson of Iota, Lillie Mae Aucoin and Mildred Schatzle both of Eunice. She was blessed with eighteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved granddaughter, Dorey Conde her parents, Paul and Marie Miller Christ six brothers, Walter, Gilven, Eldridge Bee, Nelson, Aaron, Leroy and Collins Christ.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, March 20th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, March 21st from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
