EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Melanie Dawn Guidry announces her passing on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the age of 22. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 4:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Sensat Celebrant.

Melanie worked at Lafayette General as a Pharmacy Tech for a year. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her son, Aeden Daniel Guillory of Carencro her mother, Patricia Lynn Bellard and fianc, Mitchell Boone of Carencro her father, John A. Guidry, Jr. and his wife, Mary Marlene of Basile her maternal grandmother, Joyce Bellard of Eunice paternal grandfather, John A. Guidry, Sr. of Basile paternal great grandmother, Anna Jane Duplechin of Eunice her two sisters, Nikole Renee Guidry of North Carolina and Katie Jo Guidry of Basile two stepbrothers, Randall Mier and Mitchell Mier and wife, Misty all of Eunice two step sisters, Christina Lynn Mier of Jennings and Mekenzie Guidry of Richard her boyfriend, Shawn Faul of Lafayette as well as many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She enjoyed the company of her two canine companions, Pebbles and Kbon.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harris Bellard, Sr. paternal grandmother, Jennifer G. Guidry and a nephew, Bentlee Guidry.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Wednesday, March 12th from 5:00 pm until time of services on Thursday, March 13th. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
