BASILEAn incredible wife, a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend the family of Maye Rose Miller announces her passing on Monday, February 14, 2011 at her home with her family and friends by her side. She was 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Basile. Burial will follow in the Protestant Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Smith officiating.

Maye was a member of the First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years. She had 64 loving years with her husband, Nathan Miller of Basile. Maye was a loving mother to three lovely children who she was very close to including her son, Robert Miller and wife, Sandy of Basile two daughters, Gaye Kephart of Basile and Beth Fusiler and husband, Warren of Houston, TX a brother, Raymond Heinen and wife, Dot of Eunice her sister, Alberta Frey and husband, Edmond of Eunice her brotherinlaw, Huey Miller and wife, Mary Ann of Lafayette. Maye was a dear and loving grandmother to her eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Many nephews and nieces will also miss her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents William and Ethel LaFleur Heinen, her daughter, Paulette Corbridge her sister, Dorothy Toups and her sisterinlaw, Myrtis Hoychick and husband, John.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, February 15th from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, February 16th from 8:00 am until time of services.
