BASILEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of May L. LaCombe announces her passing on Monday, December 11, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her love ones. She was 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father David Hebert Celebrant.

May was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and taught catechism for over 20 years. She loved to fish and camp at Toledo Bend as well as gardening, reading, sewing and crocheting. Most of all, she was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew her especially her loving daughter, Gloria Burge of Basile sister, Maxie Nicko of Lafayette. She was blessed and loved by two grandchildren, Tracy LaBauve and husband, Tony of Basile and Brian Burge and wife, Kelly of Carencro and further blessed with five great grandchildren, Nickolas, Maison, Alyssa, Morgan and Grant. Also mourning her loss are numerous nieces and nephews.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Melvin J. LaCombe parents, Lawrence and Zelonaise Fontenot LeJeune brother, Wavely LeJeune sister, Rose Hebert and her soninlaw, Joe Burge.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Tuesday, December 11th from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, December 12th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.
