Mary Lynn Nelson

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Lynn Nelson announces her sudden passing at the Acadian Medical Center on March 12, 2024, at the age of 57. At the request of the family, a memorial service will held at a later time.

       Mary was born in Eunice on January 2, 1967, to Eldon and Renola Moss Nelson. Her love for the outdoors was evident in her passion for hunting, fishing, and camping.  She also loved her animals,  and among her dearest companions was her dog, Moo. She was a cherished companion, sister, aunt, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her companion of thirty-five years, Joey Johnson of Eunice; siblings, Paul Nelson and wife, Candy of Lafayette, Julie Romero of Basile, Pam Young and husband, Oleus of Toledo Bend, Jean Fontenot and husband, Benny of Eunice, and Theresa Williams of Splendora, TX; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Nelson and Eric Nelson; and sister, Katherine Nelson Veillon.
