EUNICEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Mary Nan Dubose McClelland who peacefully slipped away in her 72nd year with her loving family by her side in the comfort of her home on the morning of Thursday, December 20, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Maxie Cemetery with Rev. Tim Moffett officiating.

Mary, known to many as Nan was a 1958 graduate of Ruston High School and attended Louisiana Tech. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and one of her greatest joys was singing in the church choir as well as working with the Youth Group and teaching Sunday school. After many years of being a homemaker and mother, Nan opened a delightful business call Nans Country Crafts where many people learned the art of painting ceramics and decorating their homes with the items they created. She enjoyed flower gardening, yard work and also enjoyed growing her own vegetables. Most of all, she loved and lived for spending time with her loving family and friends especially her husband of 52 years, Jack McClelland of Eunice along with their two beautiful children son, Keith McClelland and wife, Terri of Eunice daughter, Nanette McClelland Miller and husband, Josh of Anthem, AR her brothers, Tom DuBose of Lafayette and Mike DuBose and wife, Cheryl of Ochlocknee, GA. She is also mourned by her three grandchildren of whom she was very proud of Kristin and Garrett McClelland and Jolie Miller. Nan will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Tol and Mattie Hinton DuBose and her sisterinlaw, Bobbie Jean DuBose.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at First Baptist Church in Eunice on Friday, December 21st from 1:30 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, December 22nd from 10:00 am until time of services.

The family would like to thank the many friends, family, and Hospice caregivers for the expressions of love and special care extended during her illness. Nans family also expressed their appreciation to everyone for the many calls and prayers sent their way. Nan was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, and for those who desire, memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 South Third Street, Eunice, LA 70535 337457.2361
