EUNICE It is with regret that the children of Mary Ann Stroderd Lyons announces her passing on Friday, August 12, 2011 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 24, 1939 and was 71 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 3:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Nathan Comeaux Celebrant.

Mary Ann worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Jack Stagg for many years then went on to work at the Grand Casino Coushatta in Kinder, but most importantly she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a devoted mother to four children, a son, Ferdie Lyons and wife, Sandy of Tepetate three daughters, Julie Vidrine and husband, Leonard of Eunice, Jackie Lyons and Jenny Maglalang and husband, Bernie all of Basile. Her cherished eleven grandchildren, Ryan and Damian Lyons, Kelly, Terri and Courtney Vidrine, Damon Blanchard, Amy B. Moreau, Andre Guillory, Laci L. Robin, Dustin Lavergne and Cade Maglalang five step grandchildren, Glenn, Rafael, Ivy, Ace, and Riley Maglalang and her twelve adored great grandchildren. Mary Ann will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Ferdinand Lyons parents, Clarence and Alice Ortego Stroderd brothers, Marvin and Stanley Stroderd and a sister, Lela Mae Stroderd.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 15th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 16th from 8:00 am until time of services. Msgr. Romero will recite a Rosary at 8:00 pm Monday evening.
