EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary L. Guillory announces her passing on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center at the age of 81. A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery in Vidrine with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Mary will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her sons, Elias Romero, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Rayne, and Darrel Romero of Ville Platte; brother, Horris Fontenot of Eunice; seven grandchildren, Ray Fontenot, Shameka Courville, David Romero, Jimmy Romero, Julie Duhon, Chance Menard, and Cade Palumbo and seven great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dovic and Elma Fontenot; daughters, Delores Romero and Mary Fontenot; son, Norris Romero; brothers, Burkman Fontenot, Norris "Boy-Boy" Fontenot, and Henry Fontenot; sisters, Lucy Moe and Mary Fontenot; and grandson, Mack Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, May 17th from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, May 18th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
