EUNICE-A wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Mary Cecile Boone Fontenot known as Cecile to all who knew her will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Cecile passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 64. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas Chapel Cemetery in Savoy with Father Tom Voorhies Celebrant.

Cecile will be remembered as one who enjoyed being with her family and friends most of all. Left behind to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Darwin Fontenot, Sr. of Eunice; her mother, Virgene Fontenot Boone of Eunice, her son, Darwin T-Wayne Fontenot and his wife, Christy of Eunice; her two daughters, Michelle Fontenot Brown and her husband, Glenn and Mandy Fontenot Aymond all of Eunice; her three brothers, Martin Boone, Willie Boone, Jr., and Corey Boone all of Eunice; six sisters, Mae Tietz of Carencro, Barbara Thibodeaux, Cheryl Dubin, Debbie Boone, and Patricia Papillion all of Eunice, and Becky Johnson of Elton; her ten loving grandchildren, Joshua and Spencer Aucoin, Ethan Brown, Matthew and Reeven Fontenot, Meghan Darbonne, Malorie Brown, Morghan, Emily and Aubrey Fontenot; and four cherished great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Joshua and Spencer Aucoin, Ethan Brown, Matthew and Reeven Fontenot and Donnie Darbonne.

Now she rests in heaven with her beloved father, Willie Boone; a brother, William Boone and her sister, Enola Boone.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 9:00 am until time of services on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening
