IOTAIt is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Mary Curtis Miller, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in the comfort of her daughters home with family by her side at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 28. 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Joseph Sai Tran, Celebrant.

Mary was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. She was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She left those who knew her with warm memories to cheer us and fill our hearts including her husband of 63 years, James Harold Miller of Iota along with their four beautiful children, her son, Daryl Miller and wife, Jane of Lawtell three daughters, Diana M. Gotte and husband, Kevin of Crowley, Kathryn M. Simar and husband, Steven of Evangeline and Arlene M. Schneider and husband, David of Houston, TX her sister, Vida Miller of Sulphur. She is also mourned by her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren whom were a great source of joy.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Lonas and Bridget Andrepont Miller and a sister, Dorothy Bergeaux.

At the request of the Miller family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Iota on Wednesday, July 27th from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, July 28th from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
