EUNICE-Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 27, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mary Joyce Rozas McDaniel, 74, who passed away on Monday, July 23, 2007 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.

Mrs. McDaniel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to cook on holidays for her girls. Also, for several years she owned and operated Joyces Beauty Salon servicing the Eunice area.

She is survived by her former husband, Nelan McDaniel; four daughters, Brenda Fontenot and husband, Brent of Breaux Bridge, Gwendolyn Kirby and husband, Dennis of Denham Springs, Cheryl Israel and husband, Clienus of Eunice, Cindy Brown and husband, Randy of Plaisance; brother, Ralan Rozas and Rodell of Eunice; companion, Lonice Miller; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. McDaniel also has a grandson, Tech Sergeant Carroll B. Fontenot who is currently in the United States Air Force serving in Iraq.

Mrs. McDaniel is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Brown; a brother, Carroll Rozas; a sister, Marie Rozas.
The family request visiting hours are observed at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice beginning Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, July 27, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
