EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2009, at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice for Marvin D. Stroderd, 74, who passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies Celebrant and Father Ed Duhon Con-Celebrant.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Patricia B. Stroderd of Basile, two daughters, Jennifer ONeill and husband, David of Eunice, and Erica Frye and husband, Scotty of Sulphur; mother-in-law, Gladys Bertrand of Eunice; one sister, Mary Ann Lyons of Eunice; eight grandchildren, John Paul LeBlanc, Emily and Austin ONeill all of Eunice and Tana, Brooke, Kendall, Riley and Peyton Frye all of Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alice Ortego Stroderd.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
