EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial for Marilyn Aunt Min Manuel, 84 will be Celebrated Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthonys Catholic Church in Eunice. The Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with The Revered Father Edward Duhon Celebrating.

Mrs. Manuel, a resident of Eunice, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Eunice Manor Nursing Home. She was a graduate of the Southwest Louisiana Institute where she majored in music and later came back as a music instructor and Band Director. At one time Mrs. Manuel was a long time resident of Beaumont, Texas where she taught at St. Annes Catholic School as an elementary teacher. Aside from her love of music and teaching, she enjoyed bird watching with her Sister Erwin Miller as well as reading.

A loving Mother, Sister and Aunt, she is survived by her daughter Marcelle M. Duke of Eunice; brother, Toby Fontenot and his wife Priscilla of Iota; Great Nieces, Catherine C. Vigee of Georgetown, Tx, Jennifer C. Soileau of Eunice and Sharon Bergeron of Carencro; Great Nephews, John F. Cobb, III of Houston, Tx and Darrin B. Cobb of Eunice; also numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Manuel; parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.P. Fontenot; sister, Erwin Miller; niece, Diane Cobb; nephew, Richard Miller

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, May 16, 2008 from 4:00p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until services.
