EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Winnie Miller announces her passing on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. She was 93. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Winnie was a housewife and loved working in her community she was a religion teacher in the CCD program at St. Anthony for 25 years as well as a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Volunteer Funeral Choir Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, being a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church for 93 years and a member of Third order of Mt. Carmel. Most of all, Winnie adored her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her four children son, Elbert Bert Miller, and wife Pat of Eunice two daughters, Barbara Miller Savoy and husband, Clarence of Eunice, Christina Miller Faul of Eunice and special friend Jerry Cormier. She was a wonderful and loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren, Dane and Daniel Darbonne, Genny Darbonne Willis, Duffy Miller, Becky Miller Sonnier, Mary Miller Dyer, Cathy and Phillip Miller, Remi, Max and Toby Savoy, Christa Faul Fontenot and numerous great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, I. Henry Miller her parents, Felicien and Alice Fontenot Ardoin daughter, Deanna Miller Darbonne.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice on Wednesday, January 30th from 10:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 Wednesday morning.
