Eunice-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Mrs. Verna Rozas Fontenot, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier with Father Ed Duhon Celebrant.

A Loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, Mrs. Fontenot is survived by her two daughters, Verna Miller and husband, Horace of Eunice, Genora Cormier and husband, Shelby of Eunice; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six step- great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Bertie Fontenot and a son, Jerry Fontenot, precede her in death.
The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Wednesday evening.
