EUNICE-Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mrs. Marie L. Clavier, 89, who passed away on Monday, July 09, 2007 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

Interment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum in Eunice with Father Edward Duhon officiating.

Mrs. Clavier was a member of the Lady of LaSallette in Sulphur and was a retired Lunchroom worker from the St. Landry Parish School Board.

Survivors includes her two sons, Herman J. Clavier, Anthony Tony Clavier and wife, Della all of Sulphur; five sisters, Rena Manuel of Mamou, Irene LaVergne of Opelousas, Laura Steele of Scott, Theresa Aymond of Eunice, Amant LeJeune of Scott; thirty-nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; eighteen great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pierre Clavier; her parents, Christopher and Anna Lavergne; a son, Ferdie Clavier; two grandsons, Marcus Dale Clavier, Anthony Clavier, Jr; one great-grandson, Aaron Anthony Clavier, daughter-in-law, Lydia Clavier; three sisters, Edna Creduer, Artemise Breaux, Armine LaVergne; four brothers, William, Amma, Issasic, Joseph Lavergne.
The family request that visitation hours be observed on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Thursday, July 12, 2007, 8:00 am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
