EUNICEA wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marie Gossard Ardoin will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Marie died peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 93. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Darren Eldridge Celebrant.

Marie was a homemaker and devoted her life to the care of her family. Precious memories of her will remain forever in the hearts of her children including her son, Charles Douglas Ardoin and wife, Carol Sue of Houston, TX her daughter, Clara Ardoin Soileau and husband, Bobby of Eunice. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren, Melinda Ardoin, Laura A. Cessac, Douglas Ardoin, Jr, M.D., Michael Ardoin, Richard Ardoin, Leslie S. Zaunbrecher, Susan S. Muldowny, Robert Soileau, Charles Soileau, Vivian S. Broussard, and Elizabeth S. Baumer and further blessed with twenty six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She will be greatly missed by her special friend and neighbor, Benny Foret.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Lawrence Ardoin son, Lawrence Ardoin, Jr. her parents, Fred and Clara Gossard two sisters, Vivian Shoemake and Lucy Johnson brother, Ralph Gossard twin grandchildren, James and Paul Soileau and a great granddaughter, AnaBelle Baumer.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, April 12th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, April 13th from 9:00 am until time of services. Sharon Fontenot will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
