EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 10:00 am at the St. Thomas Chapel in Savoy for Marcy Versie Brown, 90, who passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the Opelousas General Health System. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice with Father Dan Edwards Celebrant.

Marcy Brown was a homemaker, a loving mother and sister, a wonderful caring grandmother and great grandmother who lived life to the fullest. She loved Cajun music she was captain of Savoy little Mardi Gras for five years. She was an avid shopper and a great cook for her family. All who knew her will miss her.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her three loving sons, Peter Brown and wife, Betty, Aubrey Brown and wife, Susan, Ricky Brown and wife, Renee all of Eunice; four loving daughters, Tressie Chamberlain, Deanna LaFleur and husband, Johnny, Izetta Darbonne and husband, Wayne, Cecile Duplechain all of Eunice; a brother, Elridge Miller of Eunice; two step-sons Earsey EJ Brown, Dewey Brown; a step daughter, Ruby Manuel;two sisters, Lorena Soileau of Eunice, Dot Vidrine and husband, Floyd of Duralde; twenty four grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tanzy Brown; her parents, Olan and Bernadette Godeaux Miller; two brothers, Clarence Miller, Ozman Miller; two sisters, Zula Godeaux, Mary Fuselier; a sister-in-law, Freda Miller; a son-in-law Keith Duplechain; three step-sons, Ozay Brown, Berkmen Brown, Chester Brown; a step-daughter, Lily Leake.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Eunice from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, January 28, 2008, from 7:00 am until time of services.
