BASILE-The family of Madora Tante Du Duplechain Johnson, 88, invites friends and neighbors to a celebration of her life on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the St. Augustine Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in the St. Augustine Mausoleum next to her husband Benoit Johnson. Father Ken Dominque officiating.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Soileau on July 22, 1918 and lived most of her life in the Duralde Community. She was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church.

Survivors include three children, one son, Nathan Johnson of Basile,two daughters, Geneva Bellon and husband, Rodney of Basile, Mona Fontenot and husband, Patrick of Jarreau; eleven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Benoit Johnson; five brothers and one sister.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, October 12, 2006, from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
