EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Mabel Rougeau announces her passing on Sunday, January 08, 2012 at Oaklane Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. She was 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Entombment will follow in at the St. Paul Mausoleum with Monsignor Robert Romero officiating.

Mabel was a bookkeeper for 44 years at the Pitre Ford Company in Eunice. She was a loving aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew her including her two nephews, Wilson J. Manuel of Larkspur, CA and Marlin Manuel of Gretna three nieces, Iola Miller of Eunice, Mercedes Williams of Simsboro, and Lou Anna McGee of Oberlin.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Elmo Rougeau, and three stepbrothers, Cyrus Manuel, Melvin Manuel, and Lynus Manuel.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, January 10th from 10:30 am until time of Services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 11:00 am Tuesday morning.
