EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice for Mabel Durand Daigle, 86, who passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008 at the Acadian Medical Center. Father Cedric Sonnier will be the Celebrant with Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice.

A Loving Mother, Sister and Grandmother, she is survived by two sons, Ellis J. Daigle and wife, Deanne, and Elwood Tee Daigle, both of Eunice; one brother, Lucky Francis Durand of Florida; two sisters, Christine Durand and Ina Savoie, both of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Todd Daigle, Tanya Miller, Lydia and Janie Daigle; six great grandchildren, Bailey Babineaux, Karley and Cameron Daigle, Hannah and Phillip Boudreaux, and Joshua Miller. All who knew and loved her will sadly miss her.

Her husband, Willis J. Daigle; parents, Onezime Durand and Marie Miller; three brothers, Albert, David, and Murray Daigle; three sisters, Bernice Johnson, Isabelle Durand, and Lillie Mae Fruge, preceded her in death.

The family request that visitation hours be observed from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice and again on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening.

Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
