EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Lynn Marcantel Bertrand announces her passing on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Oak Lane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice at the age of 51. A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice at 1:00 pm. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas More Cemetery with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Lynn a resident of Eunice was a station manager and D.J. at KBON with Paul Marx and on Sunday nights she had the Cajun Gold Show. She also worked at Jantzen, KJJB with Tom Voinche, and KEUN with Karl DeRouen and on Sunday nights she had a Gospel Show. Lynn will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband, Bobby Bertrand of Eunice her mother, Elverta L. Fruge and step father, Wallace Fruge one step son, Chris Bertrand of Houston, TX one step daughter, Laury Primeaux of Rayne two brothers, Charles Marcantel of Rockingham, N.C. and Gary Marcantel and wife, Madeline of Eunice one sister, Fay M. Byrd and husband, Tony of Rockingham, N.C. and one step grandchild, Lindsey Primeaux.

Now she rests in Heaven with her father, Mitchell Marcantel grandparents, Cyprien and Delia Landreneau.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, April 22nd from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Friday, April 23rd from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Thursday evening.
