EUNICE-Lullan Bradley Manuel, known as Brad to all who knew him was born on September 19, 1964 and passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou at the age of 44. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard at 2:30 pm. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Edward Cemetery with Father Wayne Duet officiating.

Brad worked for PSI in Houston for 22 years. He was a hard worker and did his best to be a good provider for his family. He loved to cook, fish and go to his camp. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and brother. He had a very giving spirit and would often put others needs ahead of his own. Brad had a wonderful sense of humor and was quite a jokester. His compassion and dedication to his children and family is irreplaceable. Even though the last couple years of his life were restricted due to his illness, his joking nature and courage to remain independent was an inspiration to us all. To have Brad in our life was a blessing, and the memories of him will be treasured forever.

Left to cherish his memory are Kimberly Thibodeaux Manuel his wife of Arnaudville; his mother, Judy D. Manuel of Morgan City; his two sons, Jared Manuel of Eunice, Sean Manuel of Arnaudville; his maternal grandfather, William Dub Reeves of Brunswick, GA; his brother, Scotty Manuel and family of Morgan City, his sister, Roxanne Mire and family of Bayou Vista. Also mourning his loss is his mother-in-law, Judy Francois of Eunice, his uncle, John Burkeman Manuel of Eunice: his sisters-in-law and their families, Lisa Duplechin and Angie Guillory both of Eunice and Lacey Enicke of Vidrine as well as a Uncle and a host of Aunts from Brunswick, GA. He will be remembered by his family as loving, kind and filled with laughter.

Now he rests in heaven with his father, Lullan Manuel, his paternal grandparents, Maurice and Rozena Manuel, and his maternal grandparents, Bertha Reeves.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, August 22, 2009 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 10:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
