BASILE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 28, 2007, at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile for Mrs. Lula Mae Johnson. Intombment will follow in the Church Mausoleum with The Reverend Father Tom Voorhies celebrant.

Mrs. Johnson was known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as a friend to her community. She was an avid gardener and a wonderful cook who loved baking cookies for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Donald Johnson, Sr. and his wife Tammy, Ronald Johnson and his wife Barbara and Curtis Johnson, Jr. and his wife Jennifer all of Duralde; Nine grandchildren, Donald Johnson, Jr., Ronnie, Joshua, Nicholas, Dawn, Hailey, Brittany, Jude and Gage Johnson; Eight great-grandchildren, Logan Cormier, Garret, Logan, Raegan, Maegan, Alyssa, Conner, Rylie, and Eli Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Noog Johnson, Sr.; parents, Walter and Lucette Creuder; brothers, Edward, Wilford and Wilbur Creuder.

The family is requesting that visiting hours be observed from 9:00am Sunday until service time at 2:00pm on Monday at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Sunday.
