EUNICEWith much sorrow, the family announces the passing of Louis Guidry who peacefully passed away at the age of 79 on Saturday, March 19, 2011 with family by his side at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Jerry Mesley Celebrant.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Louis will forever be remembered by his wife of 59 years, Ettaline Cat Guidry of Eunice three sons, Terry Guidry and wife, Faye of Eunice, Steve Guidry and wife, Velma of Basile, and Patrick Guidry and wife, Tina of Eunice two daughters, Judy Martin and husband, Joseph, and Peggy Quibodeaux, all of Eunice one brother, Howard Guidry and wife, Elsie of Port Barre five sisters, Ledie Marks of LeBeau, Ledia Rich of Kenner, Alice Hicks of Opelousas, Emily Gautier and husband, Louis of Carencro, and Laura Smith of husband, Will of Broussard eleven grandchildren fourteen great grandchildren nine stepgrandchildren and thirteen stepgreat grandchildren. Louis will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Clem and Leola Pierotti Guidry.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, March 20th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, March 21th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
