EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Louis L.C. Gaspard announces his passing on Wednesday, June 09, 2010 at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Edward Duhon Celebrant.

Louis known as L.C. to all who knew him serviced his country proudly in the United States Navy as well as being a member of the Knights of Columbus and a VFW member. He was a devoted Christian who enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. He worked offshore as a Chef for forty years. He was the kindest, most humble and gentlest man there ever was. He was a oneinamillion kind of guy. There was always a place in your heart for him. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, he is survived by his lovely wife of 10 years, Loretta Elaine Bollich Gaspard a native of Acadia Parish and a resident of Arkansas his five sons, Floyd Gaspard and wife, Denise of Mire, Elroy Gaspard and wife, Barbara of Opelousas, Gregory Gaspard and wife, Liz of Lawtell, Michael Gaspard and wife, Benji of Simmsport and Richard Gaspard of Eunice his daughter, Rhonda Broussard and husband, Craig of Lake Charles his sister, Lydia Babineaux of Richard his nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved son, Timothy Gaspard his parents, Leonard and Ecledia Johnson Gaspard his previous wife, Florence B. Gaspard and his five brothers.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on June 11th from 4:00 pm until 12 midnight and again on Saturday, June 12th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening and a Devotional Service will be held at 7:00 pm with Gregory Gaspard.
