EUNICE It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Lou Ella Duplechin announces her passing on Thursday morning, February 17, 2011 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 79. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 12 noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier with Father Cedric Sonnier Celebrant.

Lou Ella was a retired CNA from the Eunice Nursing Home as well as an excellent and compassionate caregiver. Sadly missed but joyfully remembered by her three loving children, her son, Roland Kip Fruge and wife, Natalie of El Dorado, Arkansas her two daughters, Sandra Fruge Fuselier and husband, Craig and Pamela Fruge Granger all of Eunice her brother, Gene A. Duplechin and wife, Audrey of Eunice. Lou was a dear and loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Sydney and Linda Fontenot Duplechin her daughter, Phyllis Gay Fruge and her sister, Isabelle Fontenot.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Friday, February 18th from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, February 19th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Friday evening.
