EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Lorraine H.Blanchard, 89, who passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Eunice Manor. Rite of Committal to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Father Tom Voorhies officiating.

A Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother, Lorraine is survived by a son, Ernest Blanchard, Jr. and wife, Josephine of Eunice; seven grandchildren, Brandon Blanchard and wife, Amanda of Moss Bluff, Melony Donaldson and husband, Chadwick of California, Sandra Sieffert and husband, James and Darrell Peres and wife, Belinda all of Eunice, Carla Marks and husband, Harold of Sunset, Jerry Luquette of Eunice and Ricky Luquett and wife, Pat of Sunset; twenty nine great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Blanchard, Sr.; parents, Melvin and Corinne Verret Huckaby; a daughter, Floradean Granger; and a sister, Rose Wyble.

The family request visiting hours are observed on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening.
