EUNICE Our mom, Lorice Aguillard Cormier, passed away on Monday, October 07, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center with loving family by her side at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

Lorice was a homemaker who loved working in her community. She was active in the St. Anthony Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister, adorer at the Adoration Chapel, previous member of Catholic Daughters, Omega Group, and Ladies Altar Society. She was known for her beautiful roses she would grow in her yard and her love of life and joyful spirit. She enjoyed gathering with her many friends. Most of all, she was a devoted mother to two sons, Glenn Cormier of Baton Rouge, and Troy Cormier and wife, Vanessa of Eunice three daughters, Callie Broussard Polozola and husband, Buddy and Sharon Cormier Jenkins and husband, Carey all of Baton Rouge, and Sandra Cormier Cortina and husband, Charlie of Eunice. She was a wonderful and loving grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, Jamie Broussard, MD, Todd Broussard, Lance Broussard, Michael Cormier, Cole Cormier, Tanner Jenkins, Jade Jenkins, Chandler Cortina, MD, Connor Cortina, Lucas Cormier, Katie Bryan, Celeste Cormier and Emily Cormier and great grandmother to four great grandchildren, Brant, Brock, Brady, and Harper Broussard. Also mourning her loss are nieces, nephews and many friends.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gurvey J. Cormier grandson, Brett Chandler Broussard her parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, October 8th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 9th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
