BASILE-It is with great sadness that the family of Lootsy LeBleu, Sr. announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, July 09, 2009 at his residence at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.
Mr. Lootsy was a United States Veteran having served in the World War II in Japan. He was the owner and manager of Lootsys convenient store as well as a Justice of the Peace. He was a dedicated family man. He will be remembered by his family as loving, kind and filled with laughter. Left behind to cherish his memories are his four beloved sons, Lambert LeBleu and his wife, Flo of Slidell, Rickford LeBleu and his wife, Jennifer of Basile, Donny LeBleu and his wife, Belinda of Welsh, and Bazil LeBleu of Basile; two sisters, Effie LeBleu Cormier of Jennings, and Rita LeBleu of Basile; 10 cherished grandchildren, and four special great-grandchildren. Lootsy will be forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be truly missed.
Now he rests in heaven with his beloved wife, Elvenia Arnaud LeBleu; his son, Lootsy LeBleu, Jr. his parents, Wickles and Theia Duplechain LeBleu; his brother, Rogers J. LeBleu and his grandson, Cpl. Christopher Ryan LeBleu.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, July 10, 2009 from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, July 11, 2009 from 7:00 am until time of services. Deacon Robert Leger will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
