Lonnie St. Cyr

BASILE~ Our mom, Lonnie Anne St. Cyr,  passed away on  Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at Savoy Medical Center at the age of 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Keenan Brown , Celebrant.

Lonnie was a CNA at Basile Care Center for many years. But most of all she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who adored spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her especially her two beautiful daughters, Bethany Rider Brown of Basile and Natalie Rider Comeaux of Eunice; her six siblings, Doris Lafleur and husband, Patrick of Washington, Linda Fontenot of Opelousas, Kenneth St. Cyr and wife, Jan of Washington, Andrew St. Cyr and wife, Jean of Spring, TX, Robert St. Cyr and wife, Kay of Port Barre and Michael St. Cyr and wife, Johnet of Opelousas. The joys of her life her two grandchildren, Gabriel Allen Brown, and Claire Anne Brown; as well as extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex, and Myrtle Roberts St. Cyr; siblings, Lois Soileau, Alex J. “Buddy” St. Cyr and Edward St. Cyr.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Sunday,  January 10th from 9:00 am until 8:00pm and again on Monday, January 11th from 7:00 am until time of services. Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters will recite a Rosary at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
