Loicy Johnson

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Loicy Johnson announces his passing on Friday, December 04, 2020 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice at the age of 89. We  will be honoring his memory  at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary with Father Sensat officiating.

Loicy served his country proudly in the United States Army from February 1952 to January of 1954. He was a  retired barber and a retired  machine operator with H. Brown. He loved hunting and fishing and spending his free time with his family especially his children and  grandchildren who he loved so dearly. He will be truly missed by all the lives he has touched, but none more than his wife of fifty six years, Jeanette Johnson of Eunice; his children, David Ardoin and wife, Lisa of Duralde, Chris Ardoin and wife, Carmen of Baltimore, MD, Angie Butler and husband, David of Madison, AL, Jenny Manuel and husband, Boobie of Oberlin and Joey Johnson and wife, Mary of Eunice; his nine joys of his life his grandchildren, Shane Ardoin, Alisha Morein, Christopher Ardoin, Casey Rose Ardoin, Steffani Butler, Steven Butler, Wesley Pitre, Addison Pitre and Jordy Pitre; six great grandchildren, J.C. Boone, Carley Morein, Damien Scurto, Malakai Woodard, Landri Pitre and Brantley Pitre; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Virginia Courville Johnson and ten siblings.

Carring Loicy to his final resting place will be Wesley Pitre, Addison Pitre, Jordy Pitre, Steven Butler, Nicolas Rodriguez and Brian Morein.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, December 8th from 10:00 am until 12 noon.
