EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Liz Godeaux announces her passing on Friday, December 19, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier. Interment will follow in the BrownGodeaux Cemetery in Chataignier with Father Michael Champagne and Father Darren Eldridge officiating.

Liz was a legal assistant for the Law Office of Alice Bower. She was a giving and kind person and taught many about God. She was the first young girl who made a Cursillo. She was the youngest of fourteen children, as well as hardworking and loved fishing. Most of all Liz enjoyed living her Catholic faith, loving and caring for her family. There will always be a place in your heart for her. She will be greatly missed by everyone she touched. Heavens gain is our loss. Liz was a loving wife to Lance Dato of Forthworth, TX a loving daughter to Rose Godeaux of Swords a devoted mother to her two children, London and Logan Trundle and a loving grandmother to her precious granddaughter, Emmaleigh Trundle a wonderful sister to four brothers, Edward Andrepont and Dewey Godeaux both of Swords, Ray Allen Godeaux of Point Blue and Roland Godeaux of Lafayette six sisters, Anna Darbonne of Carencro, Katherine Joubert of Baton Rouge, Katheline Fontenot of Swords and Diana Texada both of Swords, Delores Briley of Grand Prairie and Stella Godeaux of Ragley as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Antione Godeaux, Jr three brothers, Ferrell, Terrell and Gilbert Godeaux and her godmother, Gloria Andrepont.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, December 21, 2014 from 2:00 pm until time of services on Monday, December 22, 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Sunday evening.
