EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am Saturday, February 24, 2007 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice, for Mr. Linton Pitre, Sr., 70, who passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at Port Allen Care.

The Rev. Cedric Sonnier, Pastor of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice will be the Celebrant with the Rite of Committal to follow in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mausoleum in Chataignier.

Survivors include his wife, Genny R. Pitre of Eunice; one son, Linton G. Pitre, Jr. and wife, Shelia of Prairie Ronde; two daughters, Cynthia P. Fontenot of Mire, Phyllis Pitre of Opelousas; two sisters, Loretta Glod of Lafayette, Elaine Richard of Brusley; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Moise and Aline Pitre; a daughter, Deborah Pitre LeJeune.
The family request that visitation hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2007, at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice, and again on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 8:00 am until time of services with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm Friday evening.
