EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Linda B. Richard announces her passing on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System with loving family by her side. She was 68. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Thomas Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Thomas Cemetery with Father Matthew Barzare Celebrant.

Linda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend and loved spending time with all her family during the holidays. And for thirty plus years, Wednesday nights were dedicated Ladies Night for playing cards with her best friends. Lindas memory will live on in all who knew and loved her, especially her loving husband of 46 years, Rodges Pee Wee Richard of Eunice two sons, Kyle Richard of San Francisco, CA and Blake Richard and wife, Chasity of Eunice her daughter, Amanda Miller and husband, Jay of Eunice a brother, David Barzare of Eunice two sisters, Judy Alliston of Alexandria and Stephanie Castell of Tulsa, OK. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Brittany, Gregory, Hunter and Alex Miller, Lauren, Courtney and Dylan Richard.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Houston and Winnie Bergeron Barzare.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, June 14th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm and on Sunday, June 15th from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, June 16th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Chuck Ortego will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
