EUNICEIt is with great sadness that the family of Leonce Pip Thibodeaux announces his passing on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center in Eunice. He was 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:30 pm Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Msgr. Robert Romero Celebrant.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army. A prominent business man he owned Leonce Thibodeaux Insurance Agency for over 30 years. He was very active in his community and loved fishing and hunting but most importantly he was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His greatest joy in life was his family his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Catherine Bobbie Thibodeaux of Eunice a son, Bart Thibodeaux and wife, Jackie of Eunice two daughters, Debra Thibodeaux of Eunice and Darla Thibodeaux of Baton Rouge a daughterinlaw Belinda Thibodeaux of Eunice half sister, Shirlene Arceneaux of Geismar. He was blessed with five grandchildren, Alicia Olivier, Jeremy Thibodeaux, Brandon Thibodeaux, Kristina Thibodeaux, and Jacob Thibodeaux and further blessed with six great grandchildren.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved son, Dwaine Thibodeaux his parents, Oleat and Leah Brown Thibodeaux and thirteen siblings.

At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, February 24th from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, February 25th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
