EUNICE-Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2006, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice for Mr. Leonard Joseph Miller, 81, who died Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at his residence.

Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating.

Mr. Miller was a resident of Eunice. He farmed in his early years of life with his family and later became employed in the oilfield where he worked for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Rose Mary Fontenot Miller of Eunice; a son, Randy Joseph Miller of Eunice; three daughters, Linda Miller Miller and husband, Gus of Eunice, Marilyn Miller Johnson and husband, Markel of Chataignier, Darla Miller Brown and husband, Kenneth of Eunice; son-in-law, Deacon David Guillory of Eunice; three sisters, Hilda Fontenot of Lake Charles, Euna Wooten of Lake Charles, Edna Shuff of Elton; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lucille Miller; two daughters, Sandra Guillory, Mary Jane Miller; a brother, Howard Miller; and a sister, Helen Johnson.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 20, 2006, from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday, September 21, 2006. A rosary will be recited by Deacon David Guillory Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
