EUNICEA wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and friend, Lee Harvey Leger, Sr. will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Lee died peacefully on Friday, January 07, 2011 at Oaklane Wellness Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loved ones. He was 77. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice at 1:30 pm on Sunday, January 09, 2011. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Lee was a native of Port Barre and a resident of Eunice as well as a retired carpenter. He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his wife, Jane Reviere of Eunice his two sons, Lee Leger, Jr. and wife, Charlene, Carl Leger and wife, Lucy all of Golden Meadow his four daughters, Jolande L. Scott and husband, Steve of Abbeville, Adea L. Mayet and husband, Tommy and Carla L. Robbins all of Larose and Margaret Leger of Golden Meadow his three brothers, Charles, Carey, Bernard all of Port Barre his sister, Marie Dupre of Leonville twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Fabian and Adea Fontenot Leger step mother, Marie Webber Leger four brothers, Avie, Harry, Junior, and O. B. Leger two sisters, Ann Milligan and Ora Mae Soileau.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, January 8th from 12 noon until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, January 9th from 9:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
