EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Lea Denise McGee Amy announces her passing on Friday, September 19, 2014 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loving family. She was 53. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Carron Cemetery with Deacon Jim Cormier officiating.

Lea was a security guard for Coushatta Casino Resort for 15 years. She loved gardening, reading and hanging out with family and friends. She was the beloved wife of Joseph A. Amy of Eunice dear sister to four siblings, Stanley O. McGee of Lafayette, Carmen McGee Reynolds of Houston, TX, Daniel McGee of DeRidder and Otis V. McGee, Jr. of Colfax and lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Lea will forever be loved and missed by everyone whose hearts she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Lois Sonnier McGee and a brother, Nathen McGee.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Saturday, September 20th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Sunday, September 21st from 10:00 am until time of services. Deacon Jim Cormier will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Saturday evening.
