EUNICEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Larry Michael Sikes announces his passing on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Eunice Manor at the age of 60. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Orville Rogers officiating.

Larry enjoyed his profession as a paint and body specialist in the automotive industry and loved the outdoors. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Larry is survived by his loving wife of four years, Melissa Ann Sikes of Richard son, Jason Michael Sikes and wife, Jennifer Finley Sikes of Denham Springs daughter, April Faye Fletcher and husband, Eric of Prairieville two stepsons, Sean M. Daigle of New Orleans and Joshua K. Daigle of Opelousas two stepdaughters, Amanda Rae Daigle of Richard and Blair E. Mercer of Lafayette brother, Howard Buddy Sikes, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Denham Springs two sisters, Darlene Sikes of Florence, SC and Debbie Osthimer and husband, Sterling of Houma and was blessed with eight and a half grandchildren, Hannah Sikes, Evan Sikes, Samantha Seghers, Devon Fletcher, Jonathon Fletcher, Kamson Mercer, Isabella Moe, David Daigle, and a baby Sikes on the way.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved parents, Howard and Marcella Fuller Sikes and a grandson, Joshua L. Daigle.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Tuesday, December 28th from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday, December 29th from 10:00 am until time of services.
