EUNICE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday, December 20, 2007, at 3:00 pm in the Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice for Mr. Larry Fontenot, 64, who passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the Meadowbrook Speciality Hospital in Lafayette. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery with Father Bill Ruskoski Celebrant, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne.

Mr. Larry Fontenot retired from the Legislative Auditor Office of the State of Louisiana after 25 years of service. He was a certified fraud examiner. He earned degrees from McNeese State University. He was an active member of the National AICPA, Louisiana and Texas CPA. He was a recipient of numerous public speaking awards through Toastmasters of Baton Rouge.

A Loving Husband, Father, Brother, and Grandfather, Mr. Fontenot is survived by his wife, Linda Fontenot of Rayne; one son, Michael Larry Fontenot and wife, Lisa of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Angie West and husband, Billy of League City, Texas; a brother, Ferral Glenn Fontenot of Baton Rouge; two sisters, Priscilla Mayeaux and husband, Anward of Eunice, Brenda Thibodeaux of Eunice; four grandchildren, Lindsay West, Alayna Fontenot, Zachary and Seth Fontenot.

His parents, Lee Roy and Rena Fontenot, precede him in death.

The family requested visiting hours is observed on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, and on Thursday, December 20, 2007. A Rosary was recited Wednesday at 7:00 pm with Deacon Gary Gaudin.
