EUNICEIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Katherine V. Lemmons Eades announces her passing on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the age of 84. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Minden, LA, with Pastor Orville Rogers officiating.

In Minden, Katherine was formerly a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was currently a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She was a Head Start teacher with the Lasalle Parish School Board for many years. She was known as Nannie to everyone in her family. Katherine was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend and will be missed dearly by her two daughters, Virginia Frye and husband, Freddie of Minden, and Sharon Middlebrooks and husband, Norman of Eunice three brothers, Ray Duke and wife, Carrice of Olla, Mike Duke and wife, Dorothy of Olla, and Lynn Duke and wife, Terri of Jena two sisters, Barbara Jean Stegall and husband, C.O. of Liberty, MS, and Elizabeth Ann Parham and husband, Ray Edward of Olla seven grandchildren, Denise Anderson, Garner Shane Frye, Cale Frye, Amanda Ryder, Norman Middlebrooks, JR., Jarred Middlebrooks and Adam Middlebrooks sixteen great grandchildren and also a host of nephews and nieces.

She now rests in Heaven with her beloved husband, Garner Howard Lemmons and parents, Lloyd and Daphne Couples Duke.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Monday, August 5th from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday, August 6th from 8:00 am until time of services.
