Karl Wayne Fontenot

Karl Wayne Fontenot passed away peacefully at his home in Prairieville, on Monday, February 24th, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 6, 1943, in Eunice to Weston & Geraldine Fontenot. 

Karl is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mona Hebert Fontenot; daughter, Danae (John) and son, Adam (Megan), 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah, William, Ashlyn & Harleigh, and 3 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Stephanie Reed & Sandra Bult. He was preceded in death by his parents, Weston & Geraldine Fontenot. 

Visitation & religious services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. John The Evangelist Church, 15208 Hwy 73 Prairieville, LA 70769, 9:30am until 11:00am. Reception to follow at the Parish Activity Center. 

Graveside services will be held March 7th at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacan Gary Gaudin, officiating.
