EUNICEIt is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Joseph Elry Sonnier on December 26, 2009 at the Eunice Manor Nursing Home at the age of 72. Funeral Services will be Celebrated on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Rite of Committal will follow in the St Paul Mausoleum with Father Gil Dutel Celebrant.brbr Elry was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1960 until 1962 in Korea. He loved and enjoyed his profession of being owneroperator of his own 18-wheeler truck. He was also a member of the Louisiana Cajun Culture and Music Club. He was very much loved and will be missed dearly by his two daughters, Lisa Ann Sonnier White and husband, Tommy of Deer Park, TX and Claudette Rene Sonnier Quinters and husband, Scott of York, SC; one brother, George Sonnier of Eunice; one sister, Mrs. Harry Wilda Leger of Eunice; and three grandchildren, Morgan White, Courtney Quinters, and Jeffrey Quinters.brbr Now he rests in heaven with his beloved parents, Rodney and Agnes Aguillard Sonnier; and one brother, Hillary Sonnierbr.br At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Eunice on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, December 28, 2009 from 8:00 am until time of services.
