Joseph W. Pitre, Jr.

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph W. Pitre, Jr. announces his passing on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Acadian Medical Center at the age of 81. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. 

Joseph was a veteran of the United States Air Force and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his loving and devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Doris Lewis Pitre of Eunice; his son, Shawn Pitre of Lafayette; brothers, Dwight Pitre and wife, Jackie of Oakdale and John Pitre and wife, Laurie of Moss Bluff; sisters, Bertha Johnson of Lafayette and Claudette Pitre of Wauconda, IL; and extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Pitre; parents, Joseph Pitre, Sr. and Anita Meaux Pitre; and siblings, Dorothy Fuselier, Doris Buxton, and Nolton Guillory
