Eunice- Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard for Joseph Dallas Miller, 73, who passed away at his brothers home in Vicksburg, MS. on February 24, 2008, at 9:34 pm.

Burial will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Orville Rogers officiating.

Mr. Miller, was a native of Rolling Fork, MS, and a resident of Eunice for many years but for the past year he made his home in Vicksburg, MS. He was in the United States Navy where he served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Eunice for many years until last year he moved his membership to Woodlawn Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Donald Miller of Blytheville, ARK; a daughter, Lisa Miller Joiner of Brandon, MS; two brothers, William E. Pat Miller and Kenneth K. Miller both of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae Prather Miller; father and mother, Wesley Dallas Miller, Sr., Erma E. Thompson Miller; a sister, Lavera Miller; six brothers, Wesley Dallas Miller, Jr., Clifton Miller, Sr., Cecil Miller, Sr., Robert Miller, Johnny Miller and James Jimmy Miller.

The family request that visiting hours be observed at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Ms on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Thursday, February 28, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Richard from 9:00 am until time of services.

Ardoins Funeral Home of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
