Johnny Vestal, Sr.

EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the family of Johnny Ray Vestal, Sr. announces his passing on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at his home at the age of 71. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.                    .

Johnny started working in the oilfield at the age of 15 where he worked for many years. Then he went onto truck driving and pipelining.  He loved to fish, hunt, and camp, but mostly he enjoyed dancing and riding his Harley Davidson.  Johnny is survived by his wife of 17 years, Leler Vestal of Eunice; six children, Johnny Ray Vestal, Jr. and wife, Julie of Dayton, TX, Amy Lusk and husband, Woody of Crosby, TX, Bradley Ray Vestal of Livingston, TX, Brandon Roy Vestal of Jacksonville, TX, Amy Briggs of Deer Park, TX, Paulette Deville of Eunice;  his brother, Donald Lee Vestal and wife, Linda of Colorado; four sisters, Russie Avant of Shreveport, Lela Johnson and husband, Adolph of Liberty, TX, Katherine Bently of Houston, TX, Hazel Moorehead of Huntington, TX; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hull Vestal and Anna Belle Tousha Vestal.
