BASILEIt is with heavy hearts that the family announce the loss of their loved one, Johnny BookT Sonnier on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at his home at the age of 53. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Rite of Committal will follow in the Ashford Cemetery with Father David Hebert Celebrant.

Johnny known as BookT to all who knew him was the owner and operator of Sonnier Farms and Langley House Leveling. He was a very hard worker and he loved to hunt but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a supportive, giving, and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his wife, Denise S. Sonnier his father, Dillard Sonnier his mother and stepfather, John Chip and Faye Raggio Langley the joys of his life, his children, two sons, Corie John Sonnier and wife, Lori, Christopher Ivan Beedo Sonnier and a daughter, Cadie Alyse Sonnier his sister, JoJuanna S. Person and half brother, Jace Sonnier all of Basile two stepsisters, Jeanette Bergeron and husband, Johnny of Springfield and Catherine Young and husband, David of Oberlin and a stepbrother, Wendell Langley of Longview, TX.

He now rests in Heaven with his beloved step sister, Peggy Miller.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Basile on Monday, December 30th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Tuesday, December 29th from 7:00 am until time of services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will recite a Rosary at 6:00 pm Monday evening.
